STARS
Stars are massive celestial bodies made up
mostly of hydrogen and helium that produce
light and heat through nuclear reactions in their
cores. They are held together by their own
gravity and can range in size, brightness, and
color. Stars play a crucial role in the universe
by generating energy, forming elements through
nuclear fusion, and serving as the building
blocks for galaxies. In the night sky, we see
stars as points of light due to their immense
distance from Earth.
CONSTELLAT
ION
A constellation is a group of stars
that make an imaginary shape in the night
sky.
They are usually named
after mythological characters,
people, animals and objects. In different parts
of the world, people have made up different
shapes out of the same groups of bright stars.
It is like a game of connecting the dots.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT
STAGES IN STAR'S LIFE
CYCLE?
STELLAR
NEBULA
All stars originate from nebulae, which
are massive clouds made of gas and
dust.
NEW STAR
The core of a star shines brilliantly
due to the nuclear reactions taking
place. This process of nuclear fusion is
responsible for the formation of new
stars.
RED GIANT
STAR
During the final stages of its lifetime, a
star will expand, cool, and change
color, eventually becoming a red giant.
PLANETARY
NEBULA
As a smaller star begins to cool
down and lose its glow, it will
eventually go through the
planetary nebula stage.
WHITE
DWARF
White dwarfs are the dense, hot remains
of stars that have already perished.
These remnants form when a star has
depleted its fuel and releases gases into
the surrounding space.
