RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

This part is the major concern in writing the final manuscript.

➢ Presentation
➢ Analysis
➢ Interpretation
➢ Discussion of the results
POINTS TO REMEMBER

● Present the results following the arrangement of the Statement of the Problem
and Objectives of the study.

● Write the discussion first followed by the Table or graph being discussed.

● Use of literatures that may confirm or contradict the findings of the study is a
key to a good discussion of the results.

● Past tense of the verb is used in writing the result of the study
POINTS TO REMEMBER

● Tables and graphs are numbered consecutively using whole numbers.

● Table titles and figure captions are written in sentence form without period.

● Table cut in half or needed to be continued in the next page will be labeled as
- Table (number) continued...

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSION, AND
RECOMMENDATION

This chapter highlights the significant findings of the study in summary


form. It also presents the conclusions and recommendations made by the
researcher.
Summary

● Brief presentation of the contents of the thesis.

● Starts with general and specific objectives of the study, time and place of the
study, methodology, and summarized findings or results.

● Summary is longer version of the abstract of the study.


Conclusion

● Generalization of the researcher after knowing the answer to the statement of


the problems.

● Number of conclusions that can be made depends on the number of


objectives and hypotheses of the study.
Recommendation

● An appeal to fill the gap between present body of knowledge and ideal
situation necessary for technology generation, policy formulation, and theory
building.

● Contain suggestions for further research on similar or related topics.

● Must be also in relation to the results of the study.
