Evaluate Narratives Based on How


the Author Developed the Elements
(HOW TO EVALUATE A STORY)

QUARTER 3 WEEK 4
Day 1-2
Look for ten (10) words that are

interrelated to Plot.
“What do you usually do after reading a story that you
like or dislike?”

“Do you answer the questions asked?”

“Do you talk about it with friends? Do you ask them


to read it, too?”
In order for you to fully understand and appreciate a
story, you must learn how to evaluate its elements.”

To evaluate a story is to use a set of criteria.

These criteria are usually found in a rubric.


Rubric
 is a tool you can use in evaluating a short
story.

Below is an example of a rubric.


ACTIVITY 1

Read the story below then Fill in the boxes on the


second column with your ratings and in the boxes
on third column, explain why you gave each
rating
.

reading the story below then, answer the
questions that follow.
