Cut – this moves the selected drawing from the drawing area and puts it on the clipboard.

9 Font family – this changes the font family.


10 Font size – this changes the font size.

Bold – this thickens the letter. Shortcut key: Ctrl+B
12 Italic – this slants the text. Shortcut key: Ctrl+I

Underline – this draws a line below the text. Shortcut key: Ctrl+U
Strikethrough – this draws a line through the text.

Color 1 – the color used with pencils, brushes, and for the shape outlines.
Color 2 – the color used with the eraser and for shape fills.

1. Click on the Home tab. In the Tools group, click on the Text tool.
2. Using the mouse, drag the pointer to the drawing area where you want to add text.

3. On the Text tab in the Font group, change the font, font size, and font style of your
7 choice.
8 4. If you want the background of the text to be filled, click the Opaque option from
9 the Background group. Choose Transparent if not.
5. In the Colors group, click Color 1, then click a color for the text. Click Color 2,

then click a color for the background.
11 6. Type your text.

If you accidentally typed a wrong letter, place the cursor in the letter
7 you want to erase. You may choose any of the following:

9  Backspace key – erases letters to the left of the insertion
10 point/cursor.

12  Delete key – erases letters to the right of the insertion point/cursor.
