• Brief Course Description
This course equips students with the 21st century skills like adaptability,
complex communication/ social skills, Non Routine problem solving,
Self-management/ Self-discipline and System thinking. The major aim is
to improve the students’ essential 21st skills so that they can
successfully pursue further studies, and live a productive life in the
community.
Course Objectives
This course is designed to enable a student to:
• Describe the essential 21st Century skills
• Discuss the multiple literacies in 21st Century
• Compare the 20th century and 21st century learner, classroom and
school.
• Think systematically
• Communicate effectively to express their ideas inside and outside
classroom.
• Collaborate with fellow students and community.
• Solve problems using the 21st skills gained.
Course Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course a student should be able to:
• Cope with uncertain, new and rapidly-changing conditions in studies and
job, including responding to emergency or situation crisis, and learning
new tasks, technology and procedures.
• Process and interpret both verbal and non-verbal information to
respond appropriately
• Solve problems by creatively generating new and innovative solutions.
• Work successfully in teams and individually.
• Acquire new information and skills willingly
