 Computers help saves time at the workplace
 In factories computers help with complex calculations
 Computers control machines – people not needed

 People can send an e-mail. Cheaper than phoning

 People can see each other via Skype. Cheaper than
flying or driving.
 Video conference rather than driving to meeting

 It’s important for a client to receive the correct monthly
bill, people rather use computers to work out these
bills, human error can have a huge social impact.

 Computers are being used where reliability

is critical especially when life's depend on it
 Computers don’t get tired so they don’t make
mistakes.

Divide learners into groups, let the group put together a

PowerPoint slide (nothing fancy, just basics) let them
find pictures on the Internet of Economic reasons for
using computers.
Load the template (in the data folder)on the network for
them to use or let them design their own slide. All six
reasons that we discussed must be included in the
presentation
