Listening Materials:
Listening is the first skill we acquire when we are learning a new language, just as we learned our
mother tongue, this oral skill is one of the main ones for the development of oral language

listening activities for the face-to-face

environment

•The objective of listening is to

transfer information for learning.
Next, we will see how to design
teaching material for learning the
English language in person.

Design of auditory material for face-to-face classes

• On this occasion we will focus on intensive

listening since to achieve a better result in our
learning we must develop this language skill.

•Examples of listening activities:

• listen to music
• listen to speeches
• listen to real-life dialogue
• listen to movies

Design of auditory material for virtual classes

• At this point we will talk about selective

listening and intensive listening; we know that
online classes are the most chosen by students
who have little time to learn a new language.

Examples of materials we use in virtual classes

• Virtual classes have become very important for all those people who find it difficult to go to the university or
academy in person, but there are many tools that are widely used for learning the English language.
• These tools or apps are:

• BBC Learning English

• SPANISH STORIES

• YOUTUBE:

classes
•Materials for teaching the English language are essential for the development of communication between
peers and teachers who interact with the English language

•Virtual English classes are more suggested by many teachers and native speakers.
•teachers who teach through virtuality, recommend many platforms for the development of the
language of a second language, which they recommend and use more frequently:

• Italki:
•Speekoo:
•Cake:

Conclusions

•Learning a second language has become

part of our linguistic education, the
development of listening skills, and
communication skills, they allow us to see new
cultures meet new people, and work doors
speak to us.
• thanks to communication skills we can
speak with natives or teach whoever is
interested in learning a new language
• listening skills allow us to know the new
language we are learning; thanks to this ability
many students have been able to learn a second
or three languages.
