Safety precautions when using the equipment, tools and supplies
for hairstyling:

1. Store all sharp objects- including scissors, knives


and others- in the cabinet.
2. Make it a rule to unplug any electrical appliances
used in the salon after used especially hairstyling
equipment.
3. Be careful when using hair creams, gel hair spray,
mousse and glitter spray. They must be only be
used once or twice a month and not everyday. If
you use them often, there will be residues struck in
the scalp which can damage the hair follicles and
cause hair loss.
Safety precautions when using the equipment, tools and supplies

technique to add volume and height to the hair. It has
a damaging effect to the hair if teasing is done too
often.

A method of setting the hair into waves or curls that

North America and Europe.
Finger waving is shaping or molding of the hair

The volume of the curl depends on the size of the
rollers, the larger rollers are used to create looser

Pin curl is a kind of hair setting used to curl hair,

set depend directly on the size of each curl that is
created. Pin curls are also called Sculptured Pins.

Ringlets can be created with small strand of hair that
is rolled between the thumb and index fingers of
both hands and adjusted in a circular form with the
hair ends in the inside of the circle and pin until dry.

Soft twist tie shapers are made of pliable rubber or
cotton fabric that provides the natural ways to curl
the hair. In he center of each shaper is a wire that
enables it to bend into shape.
