STEP BY STEP GUIDE FOR NEW IEEE

MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION AND

RENEWAL OF MEMBERSHIP
STEP 1
Visit www.ieee.org/join, select to 'Join as a professional' or 'Join as a student’.
Students may select “Join as a Student”.
• Select the "Create Account" button. Enter your Name, email address (preferably your
institute mail ID; it is possible to change this email ID later), password, and click on
'Create Account and Continue Joining' button.
• Enter your address (preferable institute address), education (Please enter NIT
Tiruchirappalli as institute name), and employment information if needed to complete
your registration.
• Save your information.
• Opt to include IEEE membership in your cart. (You have an option to select print or
electronic membership. Print membership is expensive when compared to electronic
membership. Usually electronic membership is sufficient. If you wish to receive monthly
magazines in print, then you may opt for the print option.)
• Ensure that you check all the memberships that you will like to purchase, i.e., IEEE
membership and any society memberships.
• Review your shopping cart and make changes if needed. Also, make a note of
the amount in $ that you will need to pay. The amount you need to pay in
SBIcollect will be (amount in $)x66.
• There is no need to 'Proceed to checkout' after you've saved your information,
if you are opting for the group challan method for registration. Those who
wish to proceed with registration/renewal individually may Proceed to
Checkout and remit the fee to IEEE through Credit card/Net Banking, etc.
• Follow instructions given in further slides to make payment for group challan
method.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAYMENT
Step 2: Visit https://www.onlinesbi.com/, Select SB Collect
Step 3: Click the check box and Proceed
Step 4: Select State and Type of Institution and click GO
Step 5: Select Educational Institutions Name as IEEESB NITT and Submit
Step 6: Select Payment Category as REGISTRATION FEES
Step 7: Fill in all the fields, (Amount to be paid : 1782.00/-Rupees), Submit

IEEE Membership Fees towards Group registration
• Step 8: Make a payment through your desired option
• Step 9: Make sure you have a copy of your payment receipt as you may need to
upload it while filling the Google form.
• Step 10: After making the payment, fill your details as entered in your IEEE
account in the Google Form provided below.
• NOTE: You may find your IEEE member number by going to 'My Account' then
click on the 'Manage personal profile' link. (screen shots in next 2 slides)

• Please ensure that all details that you have entered in the form are same as
that in your IEEE account. Also, avoid making double entries.
• Last date for filling details in Google form is 30 th November 2018, 11.59 p.m.
RENEWAL OF MEMBERSHIP
• Please follow the link to renew the membership: www.ieee.org/go/renew
• Login into your account and add items that you wish to renew and those you
wish to add to your profile.
• Once this is done, make note of the amount in $ that you will need to pay from
your cart. No need to “Proceed to Checkout” if you are opting for the group
challan method. Follow the Instructions given in slide numbers 4 – 13 to pay
and enter details in Google form.
• NOTE: Amount you will need to pay will be (amount in $) x 66.
