INTRODUCTION
A skyscraper is a tall building with multiple floors, typically
designed to accommodate offices, residences, or other commercial
purposes.
 Skyscrapers are often characterized by their height, structural
complexity, and iconic architectural designs.
 They have played a significant role in shaping the skyline of cities
around the world and are symbols of urbanization and modernity.
METHODLOGY
 Site Preparation: This includes clearing the land, laying foundations, and
ensuring the site is suitable for construction.
 Foundation Construction: Skyscrapers require deep and sturdy foundations to
support their weight and withstand forces like wind and earthquakes.
 Structural Framework: Steel or concrete frames are erected to form the
skeleton of the building, providing support and shape.
 Floor Construction: Each floor is built upon the structural framework, with
features like concrete slabs, support columns, and utility systems installed.
 Exterior Cladding: Facades are added to the building, providing insulation,
protection, and aesthetic appeal.
METHODLOGY
 Interior Finishing: This involves installing walls, floors, ceilings, fixtures,
and other interior elements to make the building functional and visually
appealing.
 Mechanical and Electrical Systems: Plumbing, and electrical systems are
installed to provide essential services throughout the building.
 Safety Measures: Fire safety systems, elevators, and emergency exits are
installed to ensure the safety of occupants.
 Completion and Occupation: Once all construction and safety
requirements are met, the building is ready for occupancy.

 Chinese company Broad Group has erected a modular 10-
storey apartment block, named the Living Building, in just
over a day in Changsha, China.
 The 10-storey building being erected in China by a large team
of workers and three cranes in 28 hours and 45 minutes.
 This is the "world's shortest construction period" for a
building of this scale.
 Tower built from stainless steel modules the apartment block
was assembled from standard container-sized modular units
that were made in a factory by Broad Group and have a
stainless steel structure.
CHANGSHA, CHINA
 Windows and balconies fold out from the unit to enclose the
spaces.
 10 storey can be erected in one day the modules are
transported to the site with all the electric and internal finishes
complete meaning that installation can happen rapidly.
 Extremely simple onsite installation just tighten bolts and
connect the water and electricity, as fast as 10 stores can be
erected in one day.
 The container shaped modules stacked with one wall of each
unit folding down to become a floor plate and create a
column-free space that is 12 meters by 4.8-metres.
CHANGSHA, CHINA
 Each of the modular units was made with walls and floors
built from a stainless steel slab that is formed of two
stainless steel plates separated by hundreds of stainless
steel tubes.
 These B-core slabs are 10 times lighter and 100-times
stronger than conventional floor plates.
 Broad Group is a Chinese manufacturer of air conditioning
units that has expanded into modular construction.
 The walls are like sandwich one both side the steel sheets
are placed and a rockwool filling material are used.
CHANGSHA, CHINA

 As they are sound proof and heat insulation.

 The outer walls are of 220mm of size and the
interior walls are of 60mm size.
 The building area is 69.3m2 and built- up area
59.8m2.
 This building as 2BHK Flats.
 The flooring are of wooden flooring and the
interiors are done factory's only.
ADVANTAGES
 Very fast construction of the building .
 The life span of the building is more than the normal
concrete building.
 The dead load of the structure is lighter.
 It can removed and moved any other place.
 The heat transformation to the inside of building is
very low.
