SYMPTOMS

• sudden onset of high fever which may be recurrent


• malaise (general feeling of unwellness)
• widespread skin rash – flat spots which change into
raised bumps then firm fluid filled blisters which then
scab (see image)
• severe headache
• backache
• abdominal pain
• vomiting
• diarrhoea.
