Introduction

In this presentation we will explore what is the “Classroom environment” according to many
different authors and professors as well as ourselves. We will be using information from their
books and materials but it will be changed to put our own input and views on them. I hope
you enjoy it.
 A classroom environment is basically the vibe of a classroom. It's a
Classroom environment mix of things:
 The Setup: This is how the room is arranged, like furniture, lighting,
and decorations. Think comfy chairs, bright lights, and cool posters
that aren't too distracting.
 The Feeling: This is how everyone gets along. A good feeling means
students feel safe, respected, and like they can be themselves around
the teacher and other students. No one's putting anyone down!
 The Mood: This is the overall atmosphere. Imagine this classroom
where it's ok to ask questions, even if you get something wrong.
That's positive mood!
 The Learning: This is how the teacher teaches and how students
learn. The best way to learn is by doing stuff that's interesting that
makes you think for yourself.
 All of this together creates a classroom setup that's awesome for
learning. The teacher is kind of like a boss who sets the rules (in a
good way!), makes sure everyone feels good, and comes up with fun
ways to learn.
DOUGLAS BROWN
 According to Douglas Brown, a classroom environment is the physical and social
surroundings in which learning takes place, including factors like classroom
layout, interactions between students and teachers, and overall atmosphere.
Jim Scrivener
 Jim Scrivener says a good classroom
should be friendly and fun. The teacher
and students should respect each other
and get along well. Everybody should
know what's expected of them, and the
teacher should mix things up with
different activities. It's important for
everyone to feel included and safe, and
the teacher should give praise and/or help
when needed. When the classroom feels
happy, learning is easier and more
enjoyable for everyone.
Tracey Garrett
 Tracey Garrett wants her classroom to be
a cool place where everyone feels
included and supported. She encourages
students to join in and share their ideas.
She loves giving props to students who
work hard and do well. And most
importantly, she makes sure everyone
feels safe and respected. That way,
learning is fun and everyone feels like
they belong.
Heekyeong Lee

 Heekyeong Lee's classroom is all about

teamwork, thinking outside the box, and
treating each other with respect. She likes
students to work together, figure things
out on their own, and listen to each
other's ideas. It's a friendly and inclusive
place where everyone can learn and grow
together.
Understanding classroom dynamics

 Classroom dynamics play a crucial role in

students engagement and learning.
Positive teacher-student interactions and
collaborative group work contribute to a
very productive learning environment.
Implementing active learning and
student-centered approaches produces a
sense of ownership and participation.
 When a positive classroom environment is achieved, learning becomes not only
more effective but lasts for longer, it becomes a part of the students “Good
memories” which can be a crucial factor in the students ability to USE that
knowledge in the future. Nobody wants to revisit their “bad memories” after all.
To recap…

 To recap , The environment is an essential yet easy-to-miss part of class

management. It gives the students the possibility of participating in class without
distractions which improves their knowledge acquisition. Even though it may
seem rather difficult to change certain aspect of the environment it is possible to
realize that at least some changes, one does control.
