Introduction
People can experience stress in different situations. Nobody can
escape stress from our house, school, workplace, etc. Everywhere,
we can experience stress. Stress is an inevitable part of life,
particularly for college-aged young adults who face numerous
academic, social, and personal challenges. The transition from
adolescence to adulthood brings about significant changes, and
navigating these changes can be overwhelming. The impact of
stress on the mental and physical well-being of college students is
well documented, with implications for academic performance,
social relationships, and overall health.
Understanding the factors contributing to stress among this
demographic is crucial for developing effective interventions and
support systems. This research uses a qualitative design and is
conducted using an online survey of the fifteen chosen participants,
who are based on their age, which ranges from eighteen to twenty-one
years old. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), stress
can be defined as a state of worry that is caused by a difficult situation
or something new to an individual's environment. The researchers want
to provide information to those upcoming young adults. Since young
adults experience life-changing events in their academic lives, the
researchers want to know how they deal with those changes.
Sample

There are 15 participants, both


women and men.
METHODOLOGY

The researchers conducted an online survey, which they


did privately to ensure the participants' confidentiality. The survey
questionnaire contains ten items and was answered by the chosen
fifteen participants based on their age, which ranges from eighteen to
twenty-one years old. The survey questionnaire contains information
about the effects of stress on their psychological health, academic
health, and social effects.
FINDINGS

Surveys revealed that most of the


participants were experiencing academic pressure,
and usually they were seeking help from friends and
family. Although most of the participants experience
stress, they use different coping mechanisms to
reduce their stress. They usually just ignore their
problems.

CONCLUSION

Stress can have a wide range of effects on young adults,


including negative effects on their relationships, mental and
physical health, and performance in school or the workplace.The
research indicates that many of the participants experience stress,
but most of them are experiencing academic stress, which is
based on their experiences. While some participants use different
coping methods to cope with their stress, According to the
findings of this study, both men and women are experiencing the
same causes of stress and how they cope with it.
