The company was founded by Kichiro toyota in 1937.

Toyota City, Aichi Chairman Fujio Cho and President Akio Toyoda. Hiroshi Okuda was the president of toyota when it entered into a JV agreement with Kirloskar group Toyota Motor is the third largest automobile company in the world.

Kirloskar Brothers Limited established in

1888 It is India's largest maker of Pumps and Valves and also undertakes construction projects through its subsidiary Aban Construction. It is headed by Mr Sanjay Kirloskar.

Toyota Kriloskar Joint Venture


Toyota Motor Corporation entered India in 1997 in a

joint venture with the Kirloskar Group. Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) holds 89% of the share and Kirloskar Group owns the remaining 11%. The capital was 2.3 billion rupees. The current Chairman Mr. Ryoichi Sasaki and Vice Chairman Mr. Vikram S Kirloskar. 74,759 vehicles in India in the year 2010 registering a growth rate of 38% compared to 2009 sales

EXPANSION OF TOYOTA KRILOSKAR

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private, Ltd. (TKM), plans to further increase annual production capacity to meet the rapid growth of India's automobile market. The expansion will come with an additional 17.2 billion yen investment The expansion will lead to production of 310,000 units per month. The expansion will also enable timely delivery of the "Innova", "Fortuner" and the made-for-India "Etios"* sedan and "Etios Liva"* hatchbac.

ACQUISITION OF DAIHATSU
Daihatsu was Established March 1,1907 In 1967 Signed an agreement with Toyota Motor

Corporation In 1999 Toyota gained a controlling interest (51.2%) in Daihatsu Motor Ltd. It has a capital of 28.4 billion Daihatsu takes care of the European market of toyota motors. Daihatsu achieved a production of 64,578 vehicles in august 2011.

SEQUENTIAL STRATEGY TOYOTA AND GM JOINT VENTURE


GENERAL MOTOS AND TOYOTA ENTERED A

JOINT VENTURE In February 1983 it was called New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI) According to the agreement, the two com panies will pr oduce a car comprised of a Japanese engine and trans mission and a U.S. body. The two companies together plan to invest $ 300 million in the project, including the $130 million plant that GM still owns. This Joint venture (26 years) failed in june 2010.

TESLA MOTORS AND TOYOTA


Tesla motors is an electric car manufacturing company

in US. Tesla acquired the NUMMI plant, in Fremont, Calif., where Toyota and General Motors until recently produced as many as a half-million vehicles per year. Toyota bought $50 million of Teslas common stock issued in a private placement. The President of toyota during this JV agreement was Akio Toyoda. This plant manufactures hybrid and electric cars.
