Present Simple Tense

The present simple tense is used to talk about regular activities and facts. For
example: I am an English teacher, you are students. He is a photographer
To make a sentence in the present simple tense, we use the base form of the verb
Subject + Base Form of the Verb (+extra info)
Careful!The verb must agree with the subject of the
sentence. For most subjects, we add an -s or -es to the base
form of the verb.

She/He/It eats pizza


They/I/you/We play soccer
Negative tense

We use the auxiliary verb "do" (or "does" for he,


she and it) and add "not" after it.
I do not eat pizza / I don't eat pizza She does not
play soccer / She doesn't play soccer.
