MEANING OF TRAVEL INSURANCE


 It is a type of insurance that covers different type of risks that
might occur while travelling.
 So, it is basically used so to make trip successful.
 It usually covers medical expenses, lost luggage, trip
cancellations, etc. which might occur at the time of travelling.
TYPES OF TRAVEL INSURANCE
1) Single trip: It covers only single trip with fixed duration period and, it
can cover up to 10 travelers.
2) Annual trip: It covers as many trips you can take within1year and the
time limit for a specific trip is 30/45/60 days.
3) International trip: It is used for travel outside the nation. It provides
coverage for medical expenses, hijack, baggage delay and loss of
passport.
4) Domestic trip: It is used for travel within nation. It provides coverage
for medical emergency, permanent disability and death, stolen
baggage, delay in travel and personal liability.
5) Family trip: It is used in the case when whole family is travelling for
vacation. It covers 2 adults and up to 4 children in trip.
6) Student trip: It is basically designed for students who are staying in
abroad for education purpose.
7) Corporate Trip: It is designed for business people who require
travelling for the purpose of work.
8) Senior Citizen trip: For those persons who are 65+in age group. It
provides coverage for dental treatments and cashless hospitalization.

insurance company.
 5 Loss of Passport- It may happen due to baggage lost so, compensation
would be given for new passport.

emergency.
 8 Home burglary- It may happen when house is left out and the family is going
out for vacation.

 11 Interruption of studies- In this, compensation for the tuition fees is given..

 13 Accidental Death- In this case, the amount is transferred to insured’s
nominee.
