Natural law is a theory asserting that
certain natural rights or values are
inherent by virtue of human nature
and can be universally understood

CHARACTERISTICS
1. Natural Law is Universal (Universality) –
applies to all human beings
2. Natural Law is one and the same for all
(Unity & invariability) – equal moral dignity
as persons.
3. Natural law is immutable (immutability) –
no change in what is fundamentally good or
evil.

relationship with God and with others.
Precepts: attend mass on
Sunday/obligation, confess your sins
at least once year, receive the
sacrament least during ES, Observe
the days of fasting and abstinence,
provide for the need of the Church.
