- The study of people,

and their interactions is
known as management
information systems, or
MIS.

Food and beverage services
include any event in the hospitality
sector or the wider industry wherein
individuals are served food and
beverages. This can apply to
eateries such as cafeterias,
restaurants, bars, caterers, and
hotels that offer room service.
USE OF MIS IN THE FOOD AND BEVERAGE
SERVICE INDUSTRY

1. The hotel, restaurant or resort can carry out


direct marketing and promotional activities with
the help of MIS, to help in data adaptation.

2. A hotel, restaurant and resort's management team


can produce accurate information with the
support of technology when an efficient MIS is put
in place.
3. By generating a variety of reports and
identifying areas for improvement, MIS helps a
hotel restaurant and resort to better themselves.

4. the food industry pushes to improve efficiency


by modernizing the process of food preparation
and packaging.

succeed must invest in management
