A COMMON NOUN is a general person, place,


thing, or idea.

A PROPER NOUN is a specific person, place,


thing, or idea. It is capitalized.

A PRONOUN replaces a noun.
Examples: When you use a pronoun
in your writing,
The boy went for a walk. make sure to first
He went for a walk. use the noun
to make it clear
The girl rode her bike. who or what

An ADJECTIVE describes
a noun or a pronoun.

Examples:

Examples:
The journey was hard and dangerous.

or short group of words that is used
to express a feeling or emotion.

Examples:
Whew! That was hard.
