II. Body 1
III. Body 2
IV. Body 3
V. Conclusion
I. INTRODUCTION
Hook: Learning a new language is simple and easy.

Thesis statement: Three challenges that have been proven

to make learning a new language are: older ages hinder
abilities to obtain new words, language learning
experiences differ when being in a foreign country, and
motivation might be lost in the duration of learning.
II. Body 1
Controlling idea: Getting older means that people’s ability
to obtain foreign words and expressions is restricted.

Reason 1: Children learn faster than adults.

Reason 2: As people get older, changes happen to their

brains.
III. Body 2
Controlling idea: Language learning experiences differ
when being in a foreign country.

Reason 1: Being in one’s home country makes learning a

new language harder.

Reason 2: Even when being in the foreign country, one

can still face challenges.
IV. Body 3
Controlling idea: Losing motivation to continue learning a
foreign language.

Reason 1: Feartof failure and not learning the language

as quickly as one wants.

Reason 2: Forcing one to learn something new might

result in them losing patience.
VI. Conclusion
In conclusion, there are multiple challenges that hinder
learning a new language, including: getting older and
having memory restrictions, not travelling and staying in
one’s home country, and feeling unmotivated to continue
learning. People must take these challenges into
consideration before taking on learning a foreign
language.
