 The word diary comes from the Latin
diarium ("daily allowance," from
dies "day").
It is a bit like a personal diary
where you record events,
thoughts and observations.
 With a teacher diary you write
about your experiences as a
teacher.
 Itprovides a focus for:
 reflecting on things which
 happen in the class
 why did they happen in the way

that they do?

teacher records and reflects on


difficult experiences in the class.

 A teacher diary may have the following parts

 Homework, or homework assignment, refers to
tasks assigned to students by their teachers to be
completed outside of class. Common homework
assignments may include a quantity or period of
reading to be performed, writing or typing to be
completed, problems to be solved, a school project to
be built, or other skills to be practiced.
Teachers may ask primary school students to
complete to:
 copy letters or words, or complete an activity sheet.
 Sharing their school activities with parents and tell in
the class.
 NOTE:
 A child - and parent - can become frustrated if
homework is significantly longer.
