INTRODUCTION
COLLEGIAL MODEL (PARTNERSHIP)
The collegial model extends upon the principles of the supportive model.
This model states that there are no bosses or subordinates; all employees work as colleagues on
a team.
Here, the managers and every employee have to participate and coordinate with each other to
achieve the target rate.
The manager’s role is to guide the team and generate a positive and motivating work
environment.

What is Collegial Model?
These organizations have supportive leadership but also provide a sense of partnership between employees
and executives.
Employees and managers are considered joint contributors to the organization's success.
Employees depend on each other cooperatively and work as a team to do the task.
Everyone will be having a normal enthusiasm self- discipline, and responsible behaviour towards their tasks.
The root level of this model is partnership with a managerial orientation of teamwork.
The employees in this model are oriented towards responsible behavior and self-discipline.

Role of Management
According to this model, cooperation among the members of any team is the only way to complete the
given task. All the members of a team should have an equal level of motivation and sense of
responsibility towards their duties, but management need to focus these forces collectively in order to
achieve organisational goals.
Management should guide their employees by promoting a sense of participation and cooperation among its
employees. This will create a feeling of satisfaction among the employees. They will feel that they are an
integral part of the organization, which will provoke a sense of responsibility in them.

Impact on employees
The collegial model suggests that if employees are more aware of the overall purpose of their role,
then they’ll try their best to fulfill the needs of an organisation. Co-operation and participation by all
the members will build a better corporate culture and foster a teamwork feeling between management
and employees.
Employees will be more inclined to be motivated to deliver key goals as they will develop a more positive
attitude towards their organisation, due to the management style and overall corporate culture.

Managers contribute equally to the team, and the focus is on team performance.
Employees are also involved in important decisions meetings, and their opinions are valued.
Employees become disciplined when they receive acceptance and recognition for their contributions.

This organizational behavior model emerged to develop a positive work culture and community
feeling among the co-workers.
Nowadays, employees need more than salary and job security; they need work that is ethical,
respectful, and integrated with trust.
In this model, managers are more compassionate and caring towards their team.
This ultimately results in the long-term commitment and loyalty of the employees and the
company’s success.

Role of Management
By the system model, all employees and managers should have a stake in the organization and
come to an agreement to achieve common goals.
Positive aspects of the system model are all work in a system, a healthy work environment, good
communication, value to employees & community, etc.
A system has its own input, processing, and output. It assumes individuals have different goals,
talents, and potential and aims to strike a balance between individual and organizational goals.

The system model of organizational behavior significantly impacts employees by promoting clear roles,
communication, collaboration, feedback, performance management, motivation, adaptability, well-being, and conflict
resolution.
It emphasizes the interconnectedness of organizational components, resulting in a dynamic, resilient workforce that
understands its role, collaborates effectively, receives constructive feedback, stays motivated, adapts to change, and
experiences a positive work environment.
