DAY 1
Tour of the famous Eiffel Tower
• symbol of Paris, completed in 1889
• we admired the city from above
• it has amazing panoramic views
Seine River
Cruise
• we enjoyed great panoramic
views from the waters of the
Seine
• after that we had delicious lunch on
the boat
Palais des Congres -
Notre Dame de Paris
• the most famous French musical
• based on the literary work by Victor Hugo
• breathtaking musical experience, I finally
heard song “Belle” live
• I have really enjoyed this visit, such a great musical
experience
LOUVRE MUSEUM - one of the oldest and largest museum in the world
• I saw the most popular painting in the world - Leonardo da Vinci’s
famous Mona Lisa portrait
DAY 2 • a bit surprised how small it is - 77 x 53
• this painting was painted in oil on wood technique
• fun fact: Mona Lisa is the world's highest insured Artwork - 800 million
USD!
MONTMARTRE
DISTRICT (the famous
art district of Paris)

Basilique du Sacre- Coeur de Montmartre


located at the highest point in the city
• The Basilica was intended to be a symbol of
hope and healing for France after the
devastation of the Franco-Prussian War.
• houses of artists like Van Gogh and Picasso
who called Montmartre home
• famous district also because of movie
Amelie
• in the north of Paris, Montmartre is
nicknamed the “Village”
• famous for the great number of artists mainly
painters who lived in its steep cobble-stone
streets, Montmartre is currently one of the
most visited areas in the City of Lights.
MOULIN ROUGE

• one of the world’s most famous


cabarets - 100 artists, amazing
costumes
• we loved the traditional French
gastronomy and the great cabaret
• fun fact - Moulin Rouge dancers were
able to lift their legs 29 times in the
space of 30 seconds for a world
record
DAY 3
DISNEYLAND PARIS
• fantasy world just 30 minutes
from Paris, I had fun in Disney
stores with some really cool
things
• there were many shows
there… I liked the parade of
the famous Disney characters
the most
• the most famous shopping avenue in Paris
• we were shopping all afternoon before we went home
Champs Élysées • the name Champs Élysées comes from the Greek mythology, meaning resting
place of Greek gods and dead heroes, similar to the Christian paradise.
