The Bronze Age spanned

from 3,300 to 1,200 BCE

This is the second principal period of
the three-age Stone-Bronze-Iron
System.
Wool was the preferred fabric,
although linen, hemp and small
amounts of expensive imported
silk and cotton were also worn.
The basis of the Bronze Age diet were cereals like wheat,
millet, and barley. Animal species included sheep and
goats, cattle, pigs, and horses.
The Bronze Age is the earliest period for which we have
direct written accounts, since the invention of writing
coincides with its early beginnings. Cultures in the Near
East and China developed the first systems of writing.
