OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson students should be able to:
• define safety without the aid of hand-out,
• explain accurately the need for safety in the working environment;
• distinguish between the two (2) categories of safety outline by the
teacher without error;
• give five (5) examples of personal safety equipment that must be
worn in the working environment, and
• state at least five (5) safety rules that must be observed in the
workshop as well as the working environment.

personal injury and safe guarding against damage to machine, tools
and materials.
