(Solve Me to Know Who I Am)
• -solve the following mathematical expression.
For each expression there is one correct answer
and a letter associated with that answer to get
the hidden word.

Hidden word: _ _ _ _ _ _ _
1.) 18-5,3×3,20+4,10×2,7×3,36÷2,3+2
Hidden word: MIXTURE
1.) MIXTURE
-is a material composed of two or more
simpler substances.

Hidden word: SOLUTION
4. ) SOLUTION
- A mixture in which one substance is
dissolved in another, especially a solid
dissolved in a liquid.
(Showing solutions) 3 minutes.
-observe their labels of the following
solutions.
Concentration of
Solutions: Percent by
mass and Percent by
Volume
Objectives:
 Define concentration of solutions
 identify the importance of concentration of solution in
our daily life; and
 Calculate concentration of solutions: percent by mass
and percent by volume.
(Story telling)
 -read the short story about ISOPROPYL
ALCOHOL. And answer the following given
questions.
According to studies, isopropyl alcohol manufacturers
maximize its capacity to meet a surge in demand around the
world due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Similarly, hand
sanitizers and cleaning products are also extremely sought
after. I’m sure you were one of the few who want to hoard
one. As a result, both governments and manufacturers will
need to find ways to make these essential materials available
in the market. In order to meet this need, chemical
manufacturers are increasing their production, reconfiguring
plants, or building new ones. Have you noticed that there is a
whole range of percentages of Isopropyl Alcohol, like 40%
70%, 99% and 100%? We know it can be confusing to choose
among them.
Questions:
1.If you were to choose a better alcohol
disinfectant, which will you prefer, 70% solution
or 40 % solution? Why?

2. What do the 70% and the 40% on the label of

alcohol represent in the solution?

3. Why do you think 100% alcohol is not used for

sterilization or disinfection?
(Showing short Video clips) 10 minutes.
Group Activity (Color Of My Life)
-Carefully read and answer the given items. For
each question there is one correct answer and a
color associated with that answer. On the coloring
area of the given sheets, each question number
section should be filled with that color.
