Verb is a word that shows
action or expresses a state of
being. Every sentence must
have a verb. A verb such as
"Go!" can be a one-word
sentence.
Examples:
We wash our hands before and
after meals.
The sun rises in the east.
My uncle wears glasses.
Am, are, is, was, were, be,
being, and been are all forms of
the verb be. They tell what
someone or something is, was, or
will be.
There are three kinds of
verbs, namely the
action verbs, linking verbs,
and helping verbs.
An action verb tells the action
of a sentence.
Examples: run, hop, skip, sleep,
jump, talk, snore
