Veer Gatha
In the memory of our heroes
Veer Gatha is a memoir of heroes, who will
be remembered forever for their indomitable
courage, devotion to duty and undying love for
the Motherland.
The award is the highest military decoration
and is for supreme gallantry, supreme courage,
leadership, exemplary devotion to duty and self-
sacrifice in war time.

War as we know it is the biggest man-made

disaster affecting mankind. But the biggest
question is can we survive the war?

Perhaps there is no definite answer to this

question, but if wars do not convey the message of
peace then we certainly should not glorify wars.
A true tribute to our war heroes, some of
them laid down their lives for a noble cause,
must ensure that peace and harmony prevail.

Reading those stories will give us the

opportunity to connect with history and take a
stand for what must be happening in the
present war or peace forever. The stories ahead
are inspiring and instructive.

They will enlighten the reader about our

“Param Veterans”.
The Brave hearts, their disciplined and
determined characters and their commitment to
responsibility.

I am sure that we will be inspired to imbibe their

quintessential qualities and carry forward the
glorious tradition established by them.

Let us remind ourselves that the time has come for

us to amicably resolve our conflicts and rise as
members of one human family.
The Constitution of Bharat states that the State
shall endeavor to promote international peace
and security, maintain a honorable relations
between nations, to promote respect for
international law and to encourage the
settlement of international disputes by
arbitration.
