DAMAGE SCORE ANALYSIS

USING ML AND AI

INTRODUCTION
Our system explores a transformative
approach to auto insurance and claims
processing through the integration of Machine
Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
in the assessment of damage scores
The proposed methodology integrates ML
algorithms and AI capabilities to analyze
damage scores objectively and swiftly.
This also include accelerated claims resolution
times, reduced instances of human error, and
improved overall customer satisfaction
TOOLS USED
Operating System: Windows 11
Platform: Python 3.9
Framework: django
Backend: python
Frontend:html,css
IDE: VS Code
Libraries Used:OpenCV, Keras,Tensorflow
Model-YOLO V4((You Only Look Once)
architecture. It offers improvements in speed,
accuracy, and ease of use compared to
previous versions.)
EXISTING SYSTEM
 The existing approach to auto claims often involves
manual assessments and subjective evaluations, leading
to delays and potential inaccuracies.

 When an accident occurs, the policyholder contacts

their insurance company to report the incident and file a
claim. The insurer collects relevant information about
the accident, including photographs of the damaged
vehicle and any supporting documents.
The claims adjuster visually inspects the vehicle
to assess the extent of damage and estimate the
cost of repairs or replacement parts.

Based on the assessment, the insurance company

determines the coverage and compensation for the
claim. The policyholder is informed of the
decision, and any necessary payments are
processed.
DRAWBACKS
1. Subjectivity:
Human assessors may interpret damage differently
based on their experience and perspective, leading
to inconsistencies in evaluations.

2. Resource Intensiveness:
Manual inspection processes require time and
effort from claims adjusters or inspectors, which
can lead to delays in claims processing.
3. Potential for Inaccuracies:
Human assessment is prone to errors and
oversights, which can result in inaccuracies in
damage estimates and claims settlements.

4. Limited Scalability:
Manual evaluation processes may struggle to scale
effectively, particularly during periods of high
claim volume or when dealing with complex
cases.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
By harnessing the power of ML and AI,
insurance companies can optimize their
operations, leading to cost efficiencies and a
more competitive edge in the market.

The integration of ML and AI in auto claims

evaluation presents a paradigm shift in the
insurance industry, offering a more efficient,
accurate, and customer-centric approach.
