Cassiopeia
● is a constellation that is also
found in the northern sky
● it is also known as the Queen
of Ethiopia
Cepheus
● found in the northern
hemisphere, the stars of
Cepheus forms a house
● it is also called as the King
of Ethiopia
Draco
● the name Draco is derived from the
Latin term draconem meaning huge
serpent
● one myth claims that Draco is always
visible in the Northern Hemisphere
but not in Southern Hemisphere
Orion
● is one of the most prominent
star patterns in the sky
● also known as “The Hunter”
● Orion is seen in the night sky
during winter (from December to
April or May in the Philippines)
Andromeda
● is a constellation in the northern
hemisphere
● its stars is visible during clear
autumn nights
● its name comes from Princess
Andromeda, the daughter of Cassiopeia
in Greek mythology
Perseus
● also an autumn constellation
● perseus got its name from the
Greek mytological hero who killed
a monster called Medusa
Hercules
● named after mythological Greek hero
Herakles (Roman: Hercules) who was the
Greek heroes and was famous for his 12
labors
● visible in the night sky during spring
