Single Server Queue Simulation

• A small grocery shop, customers arrive random times that range from 1
to 8 minutes apart. Assume that inter-arrival times are integer values
with each of the 8 values having equal probability. The service times
vary from 1 to 6 minutes – also integer values – with probabilities
shown in the table .
- Analyze the system by simulating the arrival and departure of 11
customers.
- Compute the measures of performance of the queuing model.

A computer technical support center is staffed by two people, Able and Baker,
who talk calls and try to answer questions and solve computer problems. The time
between calls ranges from 1 to 4 minutes, with distribution as shown in table 1.
Able is more experienced and can provide service faster than Baker. The
distributions of their service is shown in tables 2 and 3. When both idle, Albe takes
the call. If both are busy the call goes on hold. Simulate the system for 60 minutes.
1 - Draw a histogram to show the frequency of caller delay.
2 - Calculate the time percentage for the time that Albe is busy to the total time.
3 -Calculate the average waiting time of customers who wait.
