The document outlines classroom rules which include keeping the classroom clean, sitting properly, listening attentively, no talking to seatmates, no cellphones during class, and respecting everyone. It then discusses factors that affect climate such as distance from the ocean, the importance of water absorption, and the effect of heat on water and land. The lesson objectives are to explain how distance from the ocean affects climate, discuss the importance of maximizing water absorption, and compare the effect of heat on water and land.

Sit properly. Listen attentively. No talking to your seatmate. No cellphone during class hours. Respect everyone. Factors Affecting Climate Ivy Rose D. Ocon Teacher Lesson Objectives At the end of the lesson, you be able to: Explain how distance from the ocean affects climate. Discuss the importance of maximizing water absorption. Compare the effect of heat on water and land. Activity 2: What About Me? Land breeze is the breeze above that blows from land to sea. Sea breeze blows from water onto land. Distane from the ocean How distance from the ocean affects climate? Distance from the Ocean How far a place is from the nearest ocean current . Let’s Watch! Activity Time! Draw and make a representation of a sea breeze and a land breeze using arrows to explain what happens during this process. Warm air thus moves out from land to sea, slowing down the rise of air temperature above land. Thus, places without a body of water nearby tend to have higher air temperature during daytime.
At night, soil cools down faster than
water, so the air temperature above ground is lower than above the sea. Warm air then flows from sea to land, so drop in air temperature above ground is moderated. During summer, areas that are near a body of water will have moderate temperature because water absorbs more heat.
During winter, surrounding
water slowly releases heat causing the cooling effect to become lesser than normal in the nearby landmass. Kimberley Durban Summer Average: 31*C Summer Average: 26*C Winter Average: 12*C Winter Average: 18*C Temperature range: 19*C Temperature range: 8*C Remember 1.Lands heats faster than water. 2.Oceans moderate coastal temperature. 3.Places that are far away from coast land have much hotter summer and much colder winter because there is no ocean to moderate temperature.
