become increasingly important as business face, new challenges and
opportunities.

• It is referred to alignment of human resources stratagies with organizational
goals and objectives
• It is protective approach to managing human resources
• It is crucial for several reasons
1. It help organization to achieve their business objectives
2. It can improve the employee engagements, job satisfaction, and
productivity
3. It helps to attract and retain talent
4. It help organization to manage risk, comply with regulatory requirements.
COMPONENTS OF STRATEGIC HRM

• Strategic HRM includes several components


1. Talent acquisition
It is process of hiring the right person for right job
It involves identifying the required skill, competencies, job description,
sourcing candidates and selecting best person for job.
2. Talent management
It involve the developing and retaining the right talent in organization
It includes several activities such as career development, performance
management and employee engagement.
3. Performance management
It Is refereed to process of seating goals providing feedback, evaluating
employees.
It helps in identifying areas of improvement and developing actions plans to
improve employee performance
4. Training and development
• It helps in developing skills and competencies of employee which improve
their performance and contribute to achieving goals
• 5. Succession on planning
• It is process of identifying and developing future leaders within
organization
• It helps in ensuring that organization has a stronger pipeline of talent to fill
role in future
