The main objectives of this preconceptional


care and counselling is to ensure that a
women enters prgnancy with an optimal
level of health which would be safe for
both to herself and the fetus and also
their families.

• PICME is system started by Tamilnadu


Government to track all pregnant women.
• This registration is available at
https://picme.tn.gov.in/.This can be done
since the conception of pregnancy until
obtaining a birth certificate for the
newborn.
• The persons registered under PICME are
provided with a 12 digit RCH ID.

(PNC) is defined as a care given to
the mother and her newborn baby
immediately after the birth of the
placenta and for the first 42 days of
life.
CONCLUSION

Finally in this chapter we are discussed


about the nursing management during
pregnancy.It begins with brief discussions
about the minor disorders in pregnancy and
its management and also the stages of
pregnancy and how to promote the
wellbeing of mother and the fetus.
