First Find your organisation

1) Start with what you are interested – you can choose any organisation you like BUT it must be listed on a
Stock Exchange – it does not matter which one

2) Choose a company that you can understand in terms of the products and services it provides

3) The more complex the organisation the more complex will be your assignment

4) How do I start to look for a company ?

Once you have found your organisation do some basic background research into your organisation

What are the questions I should be able to answer?

What does your organisation actually do ?

Where does it operate? – this information will be in the company report under segmental data

What is the strategy of your organisation?

Is it successful? – Think about the activity you did for tutorial 2 about how success might be defined

When you have done some background research into the organisation start your research into the
organisation and the industry it is

How do I do that:

Read the Lanteri Article……….and some of the other articles on MyBeckett

The use Marketline and Statista

Read through the Company Report and look for the Key Risks and Uncertainties section in that report

When you have identified some of the variables that you think impact your organisation and industry it is
use the templates for PESTLE and VUCA to map them out and categorise them

The create a narrative using the journal articles and your research and analyse and evaluate why the issues
impact the organisation and how it might respond to them
