WRITING TASK
At the moment, there is no English speaking club for students in the e-learning BAiE
(Bachelor of Arts in English) programme. While studying a foreign language, students
are expected to give much exposure to be competent in the language they use. Write a
public relations plan in which the following aspects need to be included:
1/ Survey the demands of students in the e-learning BAiE programme for the
establishment of an English speaking club.
2/ Determine the appropriate mode of operation (online or on-site).
3/ Write specific objectives and the significance of the plan.
4/ Conduct SWOT and TOWS
5/ Identify the target publics and messages
6/ Identify the appropriate means of communication

7/ Formulate the strategy and tactics


8/ Conduct the implementation plan (including a budget, timetable and human
resources)
9/ Identify the appropriate way to measure the effectiveness of the plan.
10/ Provide feedback and adjust the plan
REQUIREMENTS
Work in a group of 4-5 students.
Include a title page coversheet: write the class code, group members’ full
names, student codes, course title, facilitator’s name, date, and number of
words.
● Format: pages must be typed on A4 paper; 1.5 spaced; leave a 1.25” left
and right margin, and 1” elsewhere.
● Font: Times New Roman 13-point (main text and reference list).
● Include page numbers.
● Use referencing style: APA (Publication Manual of the American
Psychological Association, 6th ed.) if you consult sources from journals,
articles, books, internal manuals.
Write at least 1,000 words.
