• Internet cafes have become a popular destination for students,
specially those who don’t have access to the internet at home.
However, the operation of internet cafes near public elem. Or
secondary schools has raised concerns about the safety and welfare
of students. As such, it is important to implemet policies that regulate
the operation of internet cafes near schools.
• 1. Should students be allowed to use the internet café during school
hours?
• 2. Should students be allowed to play computer games in internet
cafés near the school?
• 3. Who should help in implementing policies concerning internet
cafés?
• 4. What sanctions do you suggest for internet cafés that violate your
policies?
• 5. What rewards do you suggest for internet cafés that implement
your policies?
Synthesis:
• In conclusion, regulating the operation of internet cafés near public
elementary or secondary schools is necessary to ensure the safety
and welfare of students. The policies should prohibit students from
using the internet café during school hours, playing computer games,
and accessing inappropriate content. The school administration, local
government units, and law enforcement agencies should collaborate
to implement the policies. Sanctions should be imposed on internet
cafés that violate the policies, while rewards should be given to those
who comply with the regulations.
