“ IN A REGIMENTAL SYSTEM ”
ELEVEN GENERAL ORDERS
• 1. To take charge of this post and all
school, private or government properties in
view.
• 2. To stand and walk in a midshipman
manner keeping always on alert and
observing everything that takes place
within sight or hearing.

• 3. To report all calls and violation of
orders, regulations and policies, I am
instructed to enforce.
• 4. To relay all calls from posts more
distant from the stationed than my own.
• 5. To quit my post only when properly
relieved.

• 6. To receive, obey and pass on the
relieving duty Midshipmen all orders from
the school officials, and faculty members
on or near my post only.
• 7. To talk to no one, except in the line of
duty.
• 8. To sound the alarm in case of fire or
disorder.

• 9. To call the superior officers in any case
not covered by instructions.
• 10. To salute all colors, school officials,
faculty members, visiting shipping or
public officials, and seniors.
• 11. To be especially watchful at night,
during the time of challenging, to
challenge all persons on or near my post,
and to allow no one to pass or loiter
without proper authority.
THE HONOR CODE MEANS
• Every midshipman are entrusted with its
guardianship and preservation of the
ideals it represents in the institution.
• To the “Subordinates”, it represents a
standard in which he / she can have
confidence you will be fair and just in all
dealings with him / her.

• To the “Midshipmen”, means that your
word is your bond that you will seek credit
only for what you have accomplished, that
you demand the same standard of
behavior from those around you.
• A foundation for continual development of
midshipmen’s personal standard and
values.
SPIRIT OF HONOR CODE
• It operates values of truth, justice,
inviolability of other persons and
institutions.
• Invisible compliance is minimum standard
for midshipman’s behavior.
• Midshipmen who accept the spirit of the
honor code, think of the Code as a set of
broad and fundamental principles, not as
long list of prohibitions.

• “No one is fit to wear the uniform if he /
she has no sense of Honor”.
• Honor is the hallmark of all PNTC
Colleges midshipmen.
• Honor Code The Spirit of the Honor
System is based on two basic questions a
midshipman must to answer:
* Do I intend to deceive?
* Do I intend to take undue
advantage?
The 4-TENETS OF HONOR
CODE
• 1. LYING – make an oral or written
statement, a quibble or make a non-verbal
communication intended to deceive.
Quibble – the creation of a false
impression through evasive wording.
2. CHEATING – fraudulently act out of
self-interest or assist another to do so with
intent of gaining or giving unfair
advantages.

• 3. STEALING – wrongfully take, obtain, or
withhold, by any means, from the owner in
terms of money, personal property, value
of any kind with the intent to deprive or
defraud,
• 4. TOLERATION – fail to report an
incident, practice or offense by fellow
midshipmen to proper school authorities in
the institution.
