Definition of
"Clause"
A clause has a subject and a verb and
functions as one part of speech.
What Are Noun Examples
Clauses?

A noun clause is a dependent

clause that takes the place of
any noun in the sentence,
whether they are subjects,
objects, or subject
complements.
This is a dependent clause.

It has a subject and verb, but it is not a full sentence.

That’s because it doesn’t express a complete idea.
