CULTURE
Who
VISION
A community that is devoted to Prayer, Sacraments,
Fellowship, and the Teachings of the Catholic Church.
VISION
Acts 2:42-47
They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking
of the bread and to the prayers. Awe came upon everyone, and many wonders and signs were done
through the apostles. All who believed were together and had all things in common; they would sell
their property and possessions and divide them among all according to each one’s need. Every day
they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple area and to breaking bread in their
homes. They ate their meals with exultation and sincerity of heart, praising God and enjoying favor
with all the people. And every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.
MISSION

To bring Carolinians closer to Christ

MISSION
Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has
been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching
them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you
always, until the end of the age.”
MISSION

By bringing Christ closer to Carolinians

MISSION
John 15:12-13
This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved
you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s
friends.

Incarnational Evangelism
Incarnational evangelization is the model of how God
evangelized. God didn’t stay in heaven waiting for us to find
him; he entered our world and sought us out. He came down
from heaven, took on human flesh and became like us in all
things except sin. He entered our world so that we might one
day enter his. This is how God evangelized us.
Culture eats strategy for breakfast
CULTURE

Catholic Missionary Culture

CULTURE
Pope Francis Evangelii Gaudium para 27

“I dream of a ‘missionary option’, that is, a missionary

impulse capable of transforming everything...for the
evangelization of today’s world...”
CULTURE
Pope St John Paul II Redemptoris Missio sec. 3

“I sense that the moment has come to commit all of the

Church’s energies to a new evangelization and to the mission ad
gentes. No believer in Christ, no institution of the Church can
avoid this supreme duty: to proclaim Christ to all peoples”
CULTURE
Pope St John Paul II Christifideles Laici para. 32

Communion and mission are profoundly connected with each other, they
interpenetrate and mutually imply each other, to the point that communion
represents both the source and the fruit of mission: communion gives rise to
mission and mission is accomplished in communion.

Daily Mental Prayer
A simple method for CCC
Mental prayer is nothing else than an intimate
friendship, a frequent heart-to-heart conversation with
Him by whom we know ourselves to be loved.
Saint Teresa of Avila
The aim of mental prayer is to provide a framework or
setting for a personal, heart-to-heart conversation with
Christ.
