of automotive Maintenance Centres

The prime objective of the course is how to carry out a feasibility study to

establish an automotive service center, In addition, to planning and management

of maintenance centers in terms of determining the center’s manpower and

equipment. In addition, how to plan spare parts inventory and purchase order

deadlines and, how to monitor work performance within maintenance centers

and the documentary cycle within car maintenance centers

Definition:

• Feasibility study is carried out in order to assess the viability of a new project

• “Feasibility study is simply defined as detailed reviews and examinations to


decide the feasibility of different investment alternatives.”

Why do we need to carryout FS? ‫كلية تكنولوجيا الصناعة والطاقة‬

• Reasons for undertaking the study:

 Gives focus to the project.

 Identifies new opportunities.

 Identifies reasons not to proceed.

 Provides valuable information for “go/no go” decision.

 Increases probability of business success by identifying weaknesses early.

The components of a feasibility study include

Legal, Marketing, Technical, Financial and Economic, and Social feasibility.

Each type of study considers different aspects of the project, so it’s essential to consider
all five when deciding which route to take moving forward.

• This study is to know if the proposed project conforms the legal and

ethical requirements.

• Is the project legally feasible?

• Are all legal requirements attained?

Marketing feasibility study: ‫كلية تكنولوجيا الصناعة والطاقة‬

• Whenever applicable, marketing studies are done for different


projects. Most market feasibility studies include:-
 Description of the industry;

 Current Market Analysis;

 Competition or presence of competing products;

 Predicted future market potential;

 Customers and sources of revenues, and

• A technical feasibility study assesses the details of how you intend


to deliver a product or service to customers.
• Materials, labor, transportation, location, and the technology that
will be necessary to bring all this together.
• It's the logistical or tactical plan of how your business will produce,
store, deliver, and track its products or services.

study:
• This study is always carried after the previous studies, for all types
of projects.
• It converts the results of marketing, technical studies into financial
and economical value. This includes cost, required funds, and
expected benefits.

Social feasibility study: ‫كلية تكنولوجيا الصناعة والطاقة‬

• This study is carried to review the feasibility of investment from a


social point of view.
• It measures the social profitability of the investment project.

• There is no formal arrangement for the previous studies. Usually,


they are carried out in parallel.
• Sometimes, there is no need to carry out a legal study or marketing
study for some types of projects.
