Design opamp RC circuit to realize an all-pass filter with 90 phase shift at
103 rad/s.
SECOND ORDER ACTIVE FILTER

 An improved filter response can be obtained in case of a second order filter

 Roll off -40 dB/decade for a LPF.

Two topologies
1. Sallen Key active filters : Gain accuracy is better
2. Multiple Feedback Filters(MBF):
 Insensitive to component variations
 Better high frequency response

R.P Sallen and E.L.Key of MIT Lincoln Laboratory introduced in 1955

Second Order low pass active filter

In the general second order filter if Y1 = 1/R1 Y2 = 1/R2 Y3 = sC1 Y4 = sC2 we

get a second order low pass filter
Second Order low pass active filter
We know that

Y1 = 1/R1 Y2 = 1/R2 Y3 = sC1 Y4 = sC2

Design a Butterworth second order Sallenkey type (or)VCVS type LPF for cut
off frequency =2000 rad/s and gain K=10. Given C1=C2=1uF and Ri=1K.

For the same as in question 4, design a HPF (Butterworth second order filter
VCVS type)
