Rules and Ethics

Rules and ethics are foundational principles

that guide individuals, organizations, and
societies in their behavior and decision-
making. While rules typically represent
specific guidelines or directives established
by authorities or governing bodies, ethics
encompass broader principles of right and
wrong, guiding moral values and principles
that influence behavior and interactions.

guidelines set by external authorities, ethics
are internal principles that guide personal or

Common Reasons and main
factors for Young People
Commit Crimes
Young people commit crimes for a variety of reasons.
Some young people may turn to crime because they
feel like they have no other options. Others may
commit crimes because they are bored or trying to fit
in with a group of friends. Some young people may
also commit crimes because they are struggling with
mental health issues or addiction. Whatever the
reason, it is important to remember that crime is
never the answer. There are always better options
available, and it is important to reach out for help if
you are feeling overwhelmed or desperate.
Environmental and Social Factors
In recent years, youth crime has
become a pressing issue in the
United States. According to the

The National Institute of Justice from 1980
suggests that environmental and to 2021
social factors are the primary
causes of youth violence.
What are some of the environmental
and social factors that contribute to
youth crime?

One important factor is poverty. A

study by the National Bureau of
Economic Research found that a
child’s chance of committing a
violent crime doubles if he or she
lives in a poor neighbourhood.
Another important factor is exposure
to violence. A study by the
Department of Justice found that
children who witness violence are
more likely to commit crimes
themselves as adults.
Conclusion
In today’s society, it is more important than ever
to focus on crime prevention in the younger
generation. The rise of social media and
technology has created new opportunities for
criminals, and without proper education and
awareness, children and teens are at risk of
becoming victims. There are many different
ways to prevent crime in young people, and it is
important to tailor prevention programs to fit the
unique needs of each community. By working
together to create safe environments for our
children, we can help them grow up to be
responsible and law-abiding citizens.
