The life story of the Ukrainian sultan Roksolana (Hürrem Sultan). As the wife of the most powerful Sultan Suleiman the
Magnificent and the mother of his descendant Selim II, she corresponded with the Polish king Sigismund II Augustus, as well
as the sister of Persian Shah Taghmasp, Sultan Beygum, with the aim of peace negotiations. At the same time, she
contributed to the arrival in Istanbul of the leader of the Kyiv Cossacks, Dmytro Vyshnevetskyi. Having great influence on
the politics of the Ottoman Empire, she was actively involved in charity.

The events in the story are reproduced based on Ottoman, Polish, and Hungarian archival documents and relate to
Roksolana's political activities and her personal life, which was like a fairy tale. After all, a Ukrainian woman from the
Crimean Tatar captivity was able to rise to the status of the wife of Sultan Suleiman and, in fact, the co-ruler of the Ottoman
Empire.
