planning, vehicle management, routing, scheduling, and maintenance. These
activities ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods to their intended
destinations.

Plans optimized transportation routes and schedules. Maximizes resource utilization and ensures on-time delivery.

LOADING CONFIRMATION
Verifies accurate loading of goods onto transport vehicles. Improves inventory accuracy and streamlines the loading process.

DELIVERY CONFIRMATION
Confirms successful delivery to the recipient. Provides real-time visibility and enhances customer satisfaction.
Transportation Planning Point

• Essential for IS-OIL TD bulk shipment functions.


• Not master data, but a configuration in IMG.
• Assigned to a Company Code.
• Comprises employees or locations responsible for transportation

Defaults for Oil & Gas
Maintenance Required The O3DEFAULTS of bulk material (finished
goods) must be maintained and should be active for all relevant Plants and/or
Storage Location.
Quantity Conversion Supports oil and gas quantity conversion using default
values for relevant quantity conversion factors such as density, temperature,
pressure, and chemical analysis data.

Assignment of Drivers

Drivers can be assigned to vehicles during the


scheduling process.
DRIVER MASTER
• Used to store detailed information about drivers in the SAP system.
• Contains essential details such as name, licenses, partner information, and
validity dates.
• Provides fields to maintain additional information such as shift periods or driver
shifts.
• Allows for the association of drivers with specific vehicles during the scheduling
process.
• Supports the management of driver-related data for efficient allocation and
coordination of drivers within the transportation operations.
• Example fields on the driver creation screen:
• Name: Name of the driver.
• Licenses: Details of driver licenses held.
• Partner: Information about the driver's employer or contractor.
• Validity Date: Validity period for licenses or other certifications.
• Shifts: Information regarding the shift periods or working hours of the
driver.
