Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre

Named after a beautiful maiden – and Langkawi’s most enduring

legend – Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC) is the
island’s largest convention venue. Host to major international events,
the state-of-the-art facility is conveniently situated adjacent Langkawi
International Airport. It is also next to the modern 218-room One
Helang Hotel, and just minutes from Pantai Cenang.
Considering all that it offers, as well as a paradise island setting,
MIEC is unrivalled anywhere in the world for its affordability.
ABSTRACT – ACCESS TO SPACE & TRADE ROUTE Malaysia had close to what the ancient civilization had verified our
potential
as strategic location and one of the most important trade intersections in the world. This space exploration must start with the
ground
infrastructure and research by existing team member had narrow down Malaysia’s potential to be capitalize in the global
space
ecosystem. This special report will highlight and detail out the key strategy of how Malaysia can be positioned as the center of
future
‘trade’ route connecting the Earth and the orbital space above us. As the ancient Malacca Port’s function as inter-port, the end
goal is
to recreate foundation and complete infrastructure with international space technology providers to set a commercial launch
capability
from Malaysia land, air and waters. This would initiate the next chapter of Malaysian Private Space players into the New
Space Economy. (NSE)
NSE, MYSA’s Space-X 2030 & LIMA 2023
Malaysian Space Agency (MYSA) plays a critical role to establish a roadmap and Space-X 2030 Blueprint that to be launched
in
2023. Despite planning alone, MYSA plays an integral role as the key agency under Ministry of Science, Technology, and
Innovation
(MOSTI) to endorse and adapt the recent Space Board Bill (RUU Act 834) that will set up the nation towards adequate
regulatory,
and policies related to space activities In the Space-X 2030 draft, MYSA had emphasized on the ‘Space Application’ and
‘Space
Education’ among the other milestones and key focuses for Malaysia to capture a minimum 0.3% GDP in the Space Economy
by
year 2030. In comparison to Singapore, which is already at 5.6% and growing by merely focusing on Satellite Technology

a.Equatorial + South China Sea - Strategic for small launch (<500kg)
b.Malaysia Spaceport Program : Airport class conversion

Malaysia can be utilized as a common spaceport or launch port for any small launcher program through
capitalizing its unique geographical advantage for any first stage drop zone to re-enter and land on
Malaysian water. Several launch profiles had been simulated with the current research team.
This is feasible for Sea Launch (Ship/Platform) that will be launch from several Malaysian shores (i.e.:
Tok Bali, Kelantan or Bintulu, Sarawak), and the first stage drop region will be around Sarawak & Sabah
waters. Suitable mission profile is for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Sun Synchronous Orbit (SSO)

c. Ground Station for Sub-orbital flight - First for far east region for ESA-IXA

Several local airports have been identified for a special conversion program into our first
Malaysian Spaceport. This Ground segment in the Spaceport program can be an alternative for
the international sub-orbital mission (i.e.: ESA's IXV Mission) since there are no Ground segment
that is capable for Telemetry, Tracking & Control (TT&C) and Data Receiving Center (DRC) in the
far east region.
