Measures of Weight and Mass
Mass refers to the amount of matter in an object

Measures of Volume and Capacity
• Volume is the amount of space occupied by an object.
The common metric units of volume are cubic
centimeters and cubic meter. These units are obtained
as the product of the objects length, width and height
(length x width x height).
• Capacity is the amount of substance a container can
hold.
• Liter(L) is the basic Metric of Unit for measuring
capacity.
