ABSTRACT

• Alcohol content determination is performed to

check the purity and quality of a product in various
industries – be it during ethanol or bioethanol
production, or to identify incoming goods directly at
the truck or in a lab, or to determine the alcohol
concentration of distilled spirits.

INTRODUCTION

• The project of Purity Detection for Alcoholic Spirits

in Brewery is aimed at ensuring the quality and
purity of alcoholic spirits produced in breweries by
detecting the alcohol content using an MQ3 sensor
and providing feedback through an LCD display
and a buzzer.
• This system offers a reliable and efficient solution
for monitoring the alcohol content during the
production process,thereby maintaining product
quality and consistency.

IMPLEMENTATION
MQ3 Sensor :
Description: Represents the MQ3 sensor used for
detecting the alcohol content in spirits.
Function: Measures the alcohol content by detecting
changes in conductivity caused by alcohol vapor,
providing input for purity detection.
LCD Display :
Description: Represents the LCD display integrated into
the system for providing real-time feedback on the alcohol
content.
Function: Displays the measured alcohol content values,
alerts, and notifications to operators, facilitating
monitoring and quality control

IMPLEMENTATION
Buzzer :
Description: Represents the buzzer used for emitting audible
alerts or alarms to notify operators of any deviations in purity
levels.
Function: Alerts operators to take immediate action in
response to detected variations in alcohol content, ensuring
product quality and consistency.
Microcontroller :
Description: Serves as the central processing unit for the
system, responsible for processing data from the MQ3 sensor
and controlling the LCD display and buzzer.
Function: Interprets signals from the MQ3 sensor, triggers
alerts on the LCD display and buzzer, and facilitates real-time
monitoring and feedback on the alcohol content.

IMPLEMENTATION
Power Supply :
Description: Represents the power source for the
microcontroller, MQ3 sensor, LCD display, buzzer,
and other connected components.
Function: Provides the necessary power for the
operation of the entire system.

RESULTS

• Hence by this kit alcohol percentage is detected on the

display with the rated percentage.

CONCLUSION
• In the proposed system we designed and
implemented Alcohol monitoring system could be
monitored in an environment without any constraint
since the change in Alcohol concentration is only
observed after a certain time and therefore it is not
necessary for the system to keep values all the time.
If the Alcohol level is below the 10% then it will
display Safe On LCD. If the Alcohol level is above
the 10% then it will display Unsafe On LCD.
