Nickel Ferrite Based Components Are Mostly
Are Used In Ferric Magnetic Applications. So, It
Is Essential To Develop Nickel Ferrite Based
Components And Study Their Thermal And
Structural Characteristics. It Is Also Essential To
Utilize These Compounds For Suitable
Applications In The Field Of Smart Metarials.
Objectives:-
1. To Synthesis Nickel Ferrite (Nife2o4) Nano
Particle With Nickel Chloride, ferric Chloride And
Egg White
2. To Anneal The Nickel Chloride And Ferric
Chloride Based Meterial For Making
Homogeneous Constituents
3. To Characterize Nickel Chloride And Ferric
Chloride Based Components By XRD Analysis
SYNTHESIS OF NICKEL FERRITE

a) nickel chloride, ferric chloride and freshly

extracted egg white (ovalbumin) were used
as the starting materials.

b) mixed solution was evaporated by heating

plate at 353k or 373k with vigorous stirring for
several hours until a dried precursors was
obtained.

C) final products obtained were dark brown

samples.
ANNEALING OF NICKEL FERRITE

• First set of synthesized samples were annealed

at 300°c for two hours.

• Second set of synthesized samples were

annealed at 400°c for three hours.

It was found that the crystallite size of the
synthesised NiFe2O4 sample at the annealed
temperature of 300 degree C was 10.9 nm. It was
also found that the size of the synthesised NiFe2O4
sample at the annealed temperature of 400 degree
C was 10.7 nm. So it was asserted that the
synthesised NiFe2O4 was in nanosizes.

In the present investigation ,the first set of

synthesized samples were annealed at 300 degree
C for two hours.subsequently, the second set of
synthesized samples were annealed at 400 degree
C for three hours.
• while comparing the peak intensities in the
generated Diffractograms of two different
samples with different annealed temperatures, it
was found that the peak intensities were at (220)
(311) and (400). As the peak intensities were
(220) (311) and (400),it could be asserted that
the prepared samples had Spinel structures.
• While comparing the generated Diffractograms of
the sample annealed at different temperature, it
was found that there were no big variations in
these two Diffractograms. As there only small
variations in there two diffractograms, it could be
asserted that the samples should be annealed at
higher temperature so as to have better
homogenets among the chemical constituents that
were used for the preparation of nickel ferrite.
CONCLUSION
As the synthesised nickel ferrite was not only in
nano size but also with spinal structure, it could be
concluded that the nano sized and spinal structured
nickel ferrite would be used in multiferroic applications.

 The synthesised nickle ferrite (NiFe2O4) nano particle

with nickel chloride, ferric chloride and egg white.
 The anneal the nickel chloride and ferric chloride
based material for making homogeneous
constituents.
 The characterized nickel chloride and ferric chloride
based components by XRD analyised.
