intended to provide solutions to issues and
concerns

 contains the processes which the barangay

government can harness
attain higher levels of quality of life,
prosperity and peace
 WHAT ARE THE PLANS REQUIRED?
WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM CONTENTS OF THE
BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT PLAN?

Based on DILG Memorandum Circular No. 92-41 dated July 6, 1992

entitled “Guidelines in the Preparation of Local Development Plans
and Annual Investment Plans as Basis for the 1993 Budget
Preparation”. The barangay development plan shall contain at the
minimum the following elements:

WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM CONTENTS OF THE BARANGAY
DEVELOPMENT PLAN?

The barangay development plan shall contain the minimum the following
elements:

1.) Description of the Barangay

 this shall include a write-up describing the barangay socio-economic

characteristics or profile, its problems and immediate concerns, its vision
and goals.

BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT PLAN?

2) Programs and Projects

 These are programs, projects and activities identified by the

barangay to be funded out of barangay funds and external sources
such as funding assistance from next higher LGUs, national
government, financial institutions, private organizations, etc.

WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM CONTENTS OF THE BARANGAY
DEVELOPMENT PLAN?

3) Maps

(a) map of geographical location and boundaries of the barangay;

(b) map of existing facilities (schools, hospitals/health centers, etc.)

(c) a map pinpointing where the proposed programs and projects shall be
implemented.
 WHAT ARE THE PLANS REQUIRED?

Other plans required by other special laws can be

formulated as required.

But they can initially be mainstreamed in the various

sectors or areas (GASEE) of the BDP.

maintenance of barangay health center and day-care

sanitation , beautification, and solid waste collection
 Maintenance of Katarungang Pambarangay
(KP)
 Maintenance of barangay roads and bridges and
water supply systems

multipurpose pavement, plaza, sports center, and
other similar facilities
